Gemma – Director

Gemma began dancing at the age of three and very quickly developed a love for it.

Gemma is both RAD and ISTD trained in Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Modern dance. She is also trained in Lyrical, Contemporary, Commercial Jazz, Hip Hop and Musical Theatre.

Gemma left New Zealand to study full time dance at the Australian Dance Performance Institute (ADPI) in Queensland, Australia, graduating with an advanced diploma in Performing Arts.

Gemma danced professionally in Australia before moving to America, where she danced all over the world for 8 years with Carnival Cruise-lines. During her years with Carnival, Gemma performed in many Las Vegas style shows where she featured as a soloist and went on to take a leadership role as dance captain.

After moving back to Australia, Gemma took up teaching dance, including competition work and Acrobatics, and found a passion for teaching.

Now back in New Zealand, Gemma is excited to open her own dance school and share her love of dance with local children. With classes that focus on having fun, building confidence, developing good posture and technique, whether your child aspires to a career as a dancer, or dancing just for fun, Gemma has classes that will help your child experience the joy of dance, in an encouraging and positive environment.

Briana – Hip Hop

Dancing has been Briana’s passion since she was 4 years old. She studied NZAMD ballet & jazz from a young age and later developed a love for contemporary and hip-hop styles.

Growing up she was actively involved in competitions and received a national scholarship nomination for hip hop. During this time, she also taught jazz and ballet at her local dance school.

After school Bree studied dance full time at Whitireia Performing Arts School, where she gained her Diploma in Commercial Dance. She is excited to be teaching again and hopes that she can inspire kids to love dance as much as she does!
